Help fix my dry spell.

Been on a dry spell lately mostly due to joint bank account.... Any tips on justifying withdrawals? Has anyone used gift cards? I can't imagine myself going that route, but I'm getting itchy for a relaxing massage since I'm working so much and reading about other spas leveling up.

I can't imagine not being able to spend my own money.

I often fret that I am single, then I forget that are many married guys wishing they were me.

Back before my current SO that feels it is very therapeutic to get a massage every 2-3 weeks I too hid the hobby using a stealth account. Simply set up your pay to be directly deposited into 2 accounts. I did 350 a pay giving me the ability to have 2-3 visits a month. If you do it upon switching jobs it is even better. Of course, the best way is to just get the OK for a therapeutic massage and she will notice you seem more happy and more horny and probably take credit for the massage idea.

Yep, I would tell her that I am going out for a massage. Sore neck, leg, whatever.
So when I returned slathered in massage oil, it made sense.
I would also get cash back for groceries etc. so that my tips were noticeable.

If you both work you should control your own money. I'll bet she buys or you buy things for her that equal a massage I guarantee it. You say nothing. She has shit in her closet you could sell for a month of visits and she wouldn't even miss them. I could be wrong but not likely.

If she isn't working then there is no issue - you control all your money. Why is this such a difficult thing? What I read above most of makes me cringe.

If all you have are joint accounts, you just need a consensus “pocket money” amount for each of you every month/paycheck. She will likely spend hers on manicures, fashion accessories and Starbucks. You will be at the spa.

Cash back at grocery stores or others. Get a few things and get 20 or 40 back. Not sure how close she’ll look at the bills but I think that’s one of the best ways.

you could be like some of us. plenty of cash, but due to this crap we dont travel any more, we live in dead zones. an hour + from any amp. any time i try to make a trip to go buy something off the market place something stupid comes up....

My biggest source of cash is selling stuff on Craigslist and FB Marketplace. It’s understood this is my cash to do with as I see fit. Old phones, power equipment, electronics, etc. Did not start doing this a few years ago to support my hobby. Over time, however, it has turned in to my main source of funds.

Agreed. Sell stock, cash in dividends, sell,your extra beach house......whatever it takes to keep funds and account balances moving around and have a core holding fund with a broker that receives cash. Have them send you a check, cash it in. Live. Die. But don't wither on the vine.

I honestly just like most guys stated 20 dollars every other day and my pocket cash until I get 200 then go to the ATM and get the last 20 or 50 don't take long.
