Not bitter just kind of like scarred. No one escapes a divorce without some remnant . I have been up to bat twice - first time no kids cakewalk . I meant I spent 12 years dealing with family court plus 14 years of marriage - 26 total years of my life . At 52 , 26 years represents 50% of your life. Now at 62 it represents 42% actually

Mediation is not legally binding - in the end you, preferably your attorney needs to take that agreement and file it with the court clerk of the county where you are currently cohabiting with your SO . The family court magistrate has to sign off on it as do you and her. Not as simple as you think .
