How often do you guys generally monger ?

After I had my first fs AMP experience in 2018, I initially went weekly. Then I realized my vacation savings went from 8K to nothing. I started to develop a savings plan, and realized once a month should be the max. Then I hacked my brain to the point where the urges would only resurface every 30 days.
The best way for me to go even less was either instilling the fear of LE, or (now) covid19.

Free advice: take these estimates as very rough numbers and don't let it affect how often you hobby. It's not a contest.
Some guys have that kind of cash and actually go that frequently. Some just want to appear that way. Some are just not good with their cash and go more frequently than they can afford. I know guys who couldn't pay their bills because they spent too much on the hobby.
For about a year, every dollar I should have been putting into savings went to whores instead. That was many years ago. Since then, I know what I can afford & want and I don't go over that. That's easier said than done, though - this hobby can be as addictive as any drug.

I’m with those who go once every couple of weeks. That seems to be my limit with guilt free spending. I also like the feelings of delayed gratification. Gives me something to look forward to.

i agree that this can also be an addiction , an expensive one at that. I will freely admit that I am an addict but I’ve found a way to stay within my means so that I can continue with it like all my other vices.... I hope.

Right now I’m about once a month max. Couple of reasons: 1, I’ve become very picky when it comes to which places I frequent. 2, I’m at a financial point in my life where I would much rather tuck that money away for a house (which I’m trying to get into within 5 years) or a tattoo or something.
