Google the phone number to see if there a history of posts and pics. Also search on here and other online forums to confirm if the provider is legit or at least if there is some sort of history. Once you can confirm this then it should put your mind at ease.

I too feel the same way when going to hotels. Once I realized that I could find information on the providers online I was good to go. I never visit a provider that I cannot find at least something about their number online. I don't care how good the offer is. I just wont take the chance of walking into a sting or a set up. I got robbed once at knife point. Learned my lesson really, really fast.

I've always felt that if it was an outside surveillance bust of the lady they would grab you on the way out, not wanting to make a scene in the hotel. So I thought it would be tricky to go in wearing a Logo hat and a bright shirt carrying a grocery bag containing a backpack and a different bland shirt. After business, put the hat and bright shirt in the backpack and go out wearing the backpack and bland shirt. They would probably be on their radios saying grab the guy in the Logo hat and bright shirt and would ignore the bland guy with the backpack going out a side door. Too much thinking, McGyver. Oh yeah and park away from the hotel and say you rode the bus/cab. Don't let 'em confiscate your car.

For someone as new as I am, just look for info online, and then look for more just to be safe. I’ve had luck with both my indie appointments so far. Was floored after the door swung back on number one to reveal the girl and not an officer. I say it’s luck, but it really isn’t, if you know what to look for, you should be good.

Realize that cops and the hotel staff arent idiots. If you arent dealing drugs, causing a nuisance, or trafficking they could really care less. Most cops don't have the best lives at home and family understand our need for side puss.

I don’t think there is much LE can do to you in this situation other than pressure you to admit something.
…”It’s not you we are after. We are trying to help you out, but you need to come clean with us. After all, we all know anyway”.
But if you just say “none of your business”, “Can I see your phone”. …”no”. they don’t really have anything.

The best thing to do is walk in with confidence as if you know exactly where you're going. Walk quickly with purpose. And for God's sake don't ask for directions LOL

All of the above comments are correct. Be cool, walk with confidence.

I'll add, as long as you're not making any kind of scene, you're quiet and look amicable, then no one will pay any attention to your activities in the hotel. I once got stuck waiting on room number, so I parked myself right in the lobby in a chair in full view, played around on my phone, then made an exasperated face as I went to the elevators, as if I had forgotten something.
