How to prevent Monkeypox as a heterosexual hobbyist

Disagree, despite your quote from some online medical dictionary . Small patch, one arm, covered with a wrap. No big deal. It is IMPOSSIBLE for poison ivy to spread between people. The main point is that people were just going hysterical over a minor problem and treating it like another Covid. Fortunately common sense is prevailing now anyway.
It’s not impossible, if the oils are still on your skin, poison ivy can be spread to another person.

However it is correct to say the rash doesn’t spread it.

But the poison ivy rash is nasty as heck. It itches, it blisters, and the blisters burst leaking endless fluid out of them. I would NEVER go to an amp if I was in that situation. No one wants to deal with that. Gross.

Hello,

I would like to ask besides wearing condoms and taking STD tests and all the other steps to practice safe sex, what else should heterosexual hobbyists do to prevent themselves from getting monkeypox since we don't meet all the requirements for the vaccines right now?

Please share your opinions and advice. Thank you in advance!
Too late. Went mongering yesterday

Hopefully I won’t go to your hospital for advice. People with monkey pox are contagious way before any rash appears. A vastly more intelligent approach is to look for those other symptoms that occur first and be careful around people who show them, than mindless fear mongering over a spot on someone’s skin that any website would identify as being non contagious poison ivy. Seriously some of you guys should just stay home and cower under your beds.

Cool, Let me know what hospital team advises you it’s safe (to you and your partner) to engage in skin to skin activities with strangers while you have an active rash.

Even if your rash is caused by a noncontagious reason , not “mongering” while you have compromised skin integrity is really a matter of your own self preservation as it leaves you much more vulnerable to actually catching something that is contagious.

Again, totally agree.
Things like staph/strep/impetigo/boils/whatever...
There is no reason whatsoever to put yourself or someone else at risk.
Just stay home until fully healed. Not a big deal at all.
