I'm glad you recovered, how was the beginning stages? I had a few co-workers who infected a bunch of people at my work place, about 3 weeks back, lucky for me I haven't exhibited any symptoms since then. Are you fully recovered?

I tested positive for the covid-19 novel corona virus on 3/27
And it was a miserable flu like experience. Extreme body aches, cold sweats, headache...didn’t have the coughing or shortness of breath tho. I’m good now, prob cause I’m young and in good health. But I can clearly see how older people and people with a compromised immune system can die from this.

I only go to Nancy’s and haven’t been there since December and do you go to AMP world over by Grand and Queens Blvd.
Nope only Sophia Spa which is 2 blocks around the corner from Whitney Spa. And another off the radar Spa around 90th Elmhurst Ave on the 7 which nobody here goes too, it's not really advertised on the internet at all.

Yeah sounds like my symptoms. How were you able to get tested if you're relatively young? I've received emails from all HCP networks I've been to that basically imply if you have a "Mild" case (aka Dying and unconscious with dangerously low vital signs) then stay home and don't bother asking to be tested if under age 40.

The Virus was already here in USA but it's possible Californians have Higher Vitamin D levels and therefore less deaths. In 1918 Spanish Flu patients in Europe that were put on beds outside had a lower fatality rate than those housed indoors.

There is still a lot about this we don't know.

Safe to say NYC will see a mass exodus with those that have the ability to leave.

OP thanks for sharing your experience. Sorry to hear about it, but glad you’re feeling better.
Just be aware guys that there are girls out there still working and doing hotel dates. I know one dude who met up with a girl and when she showed up looking sick he bailed.
Don’t take the chance! just cuz a girl says she is available doesn’t mean she is healthy!

That would be weird. Herd Immunity usually results in a high spike of patients. This virus had very different pneumonia symptoms than Influenza. Hard to expect CA doctors missed it, if doctors in China spotted it.

It took almost a month from symptom onset for my stamina to return to normal. So I would think those symptoms should resolve for you in the next 2 weeks...
@Rombulous I am sorry to call you out like this. I am more than sure I will be ostracized in the community for this. You continued to argue that there were less chances of contracting covid-19 from a provider well into late Feb and early March in various threads. Granted, everyone was flying blind as you mentioned. Hack, our own mimbo moron nonsense of a mayor probably sole reason for the severity of the outbreak as we stand. However, I think your firm stand on the hypothesis that one should continue to monger was an ill advise in my opinion.

Sometime being cautious and preaching safety for fellow monger is probably right course of action. I know that sounds ultra self righteous

However, I am glad that you are in good health now. We are almost there, 3-6 weeks till normalcy.

I didn’t even contact my doctor, I literally called the urgent care near my house and they asked me a few questions regarding my symptoms and told me to come over to get tested immediately

I had a flu in middle of February that lasted about a week. I had a nagging headache, with a feverish feeling. I really do not think it was Covid-19. If they check people to see if they had it, and got over it, I would like to take that test. It will be a relief to know I could have some immunity.

Just read about it. Couldn't see anywhere about the reinfections being more serious though. But the possibility to get it again really fucking sucks.
Verdict is still out if it really is a reinfection. Or what they think now, is more of a relapse. Meaning the virus wasn't completely out of the person's system, but came back to cause symptoms again. But it would really suck if reinfection is possible, as that may negate the vaccine for some people.
