I want to get a Philly Cheesesteak, so which place shall I go to?

Cheese Whiz is disgusting. Dalessandros was the best in the city 20 years ago. Not now, not by a long shot. Only customers they get now are sheeple following the crowd. If Tommy DiNics kids don't take over the family business this city is going to be seriously fucked. If they decide to expand and open more spots (which could be a mistake) every steak shop in the city will shit their pants.

Tony Luke's is great but the long line to order, then the long wait for your food is why I do not go there anymore. At least at Geno's or Pat's you are in and out in about a minute or two. That is important when you are hungry.

Pro-tip: when there is a long line, call in a to go order. Wait 10 minutes then go up to the pick up window.

Cheesesteaks and Knishes dont travel well. Come to Philly for the first, stay in New York and order an Egg Cream for the second.

Tourist: Gotta say you went to 9th and Passayunk to taste test Geno's and Pat's. Get off the Academy bus tour and get in line.

Going to see the Iggles, John's for the pulled Pork with Provolone and broc. rabe. At the Iggles, I guess Tony Luke's, better a dog and beer.

Why would you want to ever go to Roxborough other than Delassandro's?

Taking a stroll down where do all the Hippies meet, South Street, Jim's of course

Just the most fun, Reading Terminal, sure its not a cheesesteak, but its a heck of a terrific sandwich, DInic's pulled pork with rabe. Get a cinammon bun from the Amish ladies for dessert and bring back to New York all sorts of goodies from the three hours spent at the Terminal.

And, when In Philadelphia, dont be wearing no Giants colors and dont be ordering no Doc Brown CelRay. Ever.

If you are not going to post any Reviews of spas, at least review the sandwich and location you decide on. Some guys might get more excited about a food review....lol.
Didn't know you had to review a spa in order to ask a question. FYI, I've been around for decades and used to hit 'Da Hill' in Philly way back when. The boards I posted on are no longer around, like TBD (where I was a moderator), and a couple others. While I haven't posted reviews since 2007 (due to ladies cat fighting), I've contributed in many ways with information to help others on a few boards including this one.

I will post a review of the place I decide to visit and make sure I let you know prior to it going up so you can be one of the first to see it. Shall I take a pic of the one I choose as well for everyone to drool over or critique?

So, do you have a place that is worthy of a good cheesesteak?

No matter where you end up, PRO tip so you’re not shanked waiting in line.
Lose the NNJ accent and just say “cheese with” = cheese steak with fried onions. Ask for the sandwich any other way, I hope you tell someone where you went so they’ll know where to find you.

You know what's worse? My New Yawk Axcent. While I live in NNJ for 25 years, I grew up on Long Island and to this day still have my NY Axcent!

Geno's has better quality meat than Pat's and is cleaner
30 years ago I lived 3 blocks from 9th & Passyunk and worked night shift. I had a routine where I would fry 2 or 3 sunny eggs, slip them into a plastic cup, then walk to Genos, get a provolone with, and dump the eggs onto it before eating it. That was breakfast for about a year. Yes my heart's still ticking fine, thanks for asking.
