The girls build up repeat clientele to create a more stable income base for themselves. When business is down, they put out more ads to add mongers to fill their calendar.
The more expensive providers tend to be low volume and have normal lives other than their "day job". They are not living check to check and can usually afford to take breaks. If the virus were to hit us broadly, many could ride it out for a month until the worst passes.

She is no different to her patron's than all the guys that glance at a glowing "Open" sign and check to see if it is a Spa that will offer a .4/.4 session.
