A reference and a review aren't the same thing. If you have a good rapport with the indy provider, you can ask them if you can use them as a reference to see Lexi. The worst they will tell you is no

People should do what works for them in the game we all chose to play. Good chance that provider you don't you don't want to offend, regularly reaches out to other providers checking references. Also a good chance they would be offended, as golden pussy syndrome is definitely a thing
