Due to the cost of everything going up is anybody starting to think that maybe these price hikes are justified now in k-org industry?

Some of the responses in this thread show why wage stagnation is a ongoing problem.

Inflation is money in your pocket losing value. So instead of blaming orgs, push your politicians to raise the minimum wage, then higher income folks can then more easily negotiate for their own higher pay.

Good talent/quality is a competitive advantage between orgs (capitalism good!), but nothing to do with macro economic factors like inflation (unchecked capitalism bad!). It's easy to blame the price tag in front of you, but that's not the problem, the shit economic policies and greed in the polictical class causing inflation.

We collectively get our balls drained better than most, so let's use our post-nut "sage-mode" more effectively, yes?

You do understand that higher minimum wage also causes inflation.

Want to bring the price down?

Remove the supply to cheap money and increase interest rate.

Removing the supply to cheap money and increase interest rate likely to lead to another recession.
High inflation & low growth =BAD
Low inflation & high growth = Good
Low inflation & low growth = stagnation = not good
High inflation & high growth (what we have now) Not too bad. It devalues the debt (national or personal) while there is high employment with rising incomes.
Not easy decisions that have to be taken. It's a fine balance and we have blunt instruments.

In every single large study, the overall economic benefits of a higher minimum wage is much more than the inflation. All we would have to do is peg min wage adjustments to inflation, like it was in the day.

But overall, yes "It's a fine balance and we have blunt instruments. "

We are definitely fucked tho, lol, I'm just yelling at the clouds. We'll have a new mongering golden age after this economic collapse tho, same as every other time.

You are not wrong.

What’s worse.

Weak dollar = higher kitty cost

Strong dollar = stable / possibly lower kitty cost.

Both scenarios are shit. No winning this IMO.

The NICE to want things scenario would be to have a decentralized monetary policy. (Hard currency). ((Not happening in this lifetime))

Maybe the KGirl rate increase related to the increase in their rent at the apartment. The increase in rent is result of increase in housing prices due to low interest rates. I think it'll all flatten out and go steady for awhile.

I don't think inflation was the reason they increased there rates but now that inflation is here and going up there pretty much back to what they were making is my viewpoint.

But the rate increase was implemented when the rents were actually down. Remember due to Covid remote work, lots of young folks left the region to work from their bases, parents, outside the state etc. Apartments had actually reduced rents and were scrambling to get tenants.
