I am speaking Hasidic culture specifically and only going by what that particular Hasidic women told me and how immediately she was treated like trash and looked down on for "not honoring her commitment" regardless of abuse. I know Hasidic Judaism and more mainstream Judaism are worlds apart on many things.

Ok again like I clearly spelled out this was according to her and I am repeating it so I'm not wrong, at worst I'm misinformed. Also for what it's worth the men in the scenario would play it off like she was crazy also so a man discrediting her experience is to be taken with a grain of salt. While she could have exaggerated like anyone else is capable of I don't believe she fabricated the whole thing.

Yes misinformed, I’m not talking about her experience I’m just saying that divorce is not in any way controversial or unthinkable in judaism nor among Hasidic jews, only in Christianity is divorce taboo, that’s where some people’s confusion comes from
