Is LE really ignoring sex work raids. Now that NYC is under a new Mayor will he change the current policy?

Are customers the new target, will they you with a felony like they do in Texas. (I think)

The Manhattan DA's office has not said that it will not prosecute clients. But they are not going after clients. Alvin Bragg's policy statement after becoming DA included the guidance that "supervisory approval will be required to prosecute Patronizing a Person for Prostitution (PL § 230.04), so long as no signs of coercive practices or money laundering are present." It's not the Nordic Model.

So I walked pass AL/Blue Ocean and saw posters against their door. Wasn’t trying to go up to read it, but imagine it’s closed.

In that situation when exactly do they get the “eviction notice”? Is it a raid, are people inside. Or what?

I think if there are complaints, then LE or whoever will come down. Not just because of the work being done.

I know several members from this site and other mongering websites who are LE and they have told me that the main purpose is to just close the amp.

The customers are told to leave and the girl who is “arrested” on the spot will be given a court date to attend but nothing happens and she will be back working at another amp as if nothing happened.

And no, LE doesn’t search into the amp’s phones.

And these same people enjoy amps more than us. lol.

What I really wish to know is, did LE just stop going after the biz.
Or it's just about complaints. Do they ignore the girls and go after the clients .

i dont know a single client or SW who's ever gotten busted

jewels and GC operated out in the open on a busy ass street for over 10 years. even when they got raided, all the clients and girls got let go. they only come after these spots if they're laundering money or running drugs, which they were doing.

u gotta be a real dork to get busted for this

I’ve been a hobbyist off and on since the late 90’s and never gotten busted by LE but I feel for guys who do. I know what ur saying though.

You just really have to do your homework. TER, the Utopia Guide and this place really help with that. I rarely see a provider if I can’t find a review somewhere.

I’ve also never been with any provider who appeared to be being coerced into doing this. Obviously the Indys work for themselves with apparently no subjugation issues. If I ever got that vibe or anyone who seemed way too young I would definitely walk out. That hasn’t happened because I make sure I’m in a legit place. I don’t want any part of either of those scenarios. I just want a fun, consensual interaction and I’m outta there. No drama.

It would be a real joke if Bragg ended up prosecuting johns for what many consider a victimless crime while he lets real criminals off the hook. I think even our current VP said this should be legalized.

Anyway everyone stay safe out there.

I it's a good time some of these spots applied for THC licenses. Since it's legal now to sell, smoke, and just enjoy. 420 friendly would have a totally different meaning for these joints.

She never said legalized. She said decriminalized. Big difference. Difference being, there would still be minor penalties, but nobody would get arrested and thrown in jail. However, that's sex work for the individual provider, not the business/institution. That will still be illegal and heavily penalized and criminalized in NYC if they catch the owners of the establishments.. that is if they want to. They are really raiding for illicit activities, such as trafficking and drugs.

Also, trafficking doesn't always mean the women are forced against their will. In China, trafficking people here to file asylum illegally is a thing. "Snake heads" as such folks are called. They get paid up to $70-$80k per person they can sneak into this country. Adult men and women usually. Then each individual tries their best to work the system to obtain some sort of legal status, and NYC is a sanctuary city, so it's not very difficult to gain it.

In DOB's website, I put in the address for WSD and there's a recent complaint for this place being an adult establishment.

Last Inspection: 03/18/2022 - - BY BADGE # XXXX Disposition: 03/21/2022 - G5 - COMPLAINT REFERRED TO NEW YORK POLICE DEPARTMENTComments: REFER TO NYPD

It's been more than 3 months since it has been referred to LE and nothing has happened. Maybe they don't care?

UC plants happen very often. They will only care if they think something else is amiss. Like the women seem unsure and seem scared or something. Or the obviousness of drugs within. Sex work in general isn't what they shut things down for, unless the community really pulls to get rid of them, which does happen in dominantly residential areas.

Just think of it this way, if the government actually really gives a damn, they already know of every single one of these places that exist, except maybe the uber private ones.. as every AMP publicly advertises their services on at LEAST a dozen or more websites and other places. They can shut down every single one in an instant. But they don't. And they won't, because as far as crimes are concerned, an AMP isn't high on the radar list.

Let not forget the AMPs contributions to the PBA Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York
