Not sure why you think it's because she's a woman. Hasn't every male DA done the same thing. Not because they have a personal vendetta but because they're cops and they make their money by locking up as many people as they can.
Let that be a lesson to our conservative/tough on crime friends who also enjoy the pleasures of AMPs. Like Chris Rock said, there's some shit I'm liberal on and there's some shit I'm conservative on. Violent crime. I'm conservative. Prostitution. I'm liberal. I don't care how much you give to the GOP, in this particular race, you should have been pulling for the Democratic Socialist.
