Hey everyone, I am new to this hobby and am in the central Jersey area. I was hoping to get some advice / tips from people who have hobbied before. As a beginner I am curious to learn some things that may be useful for me. Anything that you all can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

1. Burner phone/app with alternative numbers. Last thing you want is the providers calling you/texting you at the worst times.
2. Always check for reviews before going to a place. That will save you a lot of time and money. (While you're at it, learn the acronyms: TOFTT, YMMV, LMP, AMP, RMP, etc.)
3. Make your appointment and honor it. No one likes a time waster. If you can't make your appointment, let them know. They'll appreciate that.
4. Know the Avg Pricing; this way you can see if you're being ripped off or not. Rubmaps is also a good place to get the pricing.
4a. Speaking of Rubmaps, I always recommend paying for a month, when starting the hobby; it gives a pretty damn good idea of how much you should be expecting to pay and what you may/may not expect from the location. At the same time, you can get a pretty good idea of what's in the towns you frequent. (Discovered a few gems that way myself.)
5. Trust your gut. If you arrive at the location, and something seems off; you're probably right. So GTFO.
6. Avoid places that ask for a deposit via venmo/cash app first. Typically scams.
7. Treat your Providers nicely. Life is already as hard as it is.
8. Don't fall for the provider. This is their job. Their job is to be nice to you and give you the best experience they can give you.
9. When you go in, and they leave you alone to change, make sure you're naked when getting on the table.
10. If offered a table shower, take it.
11. Only keep the amount that you're willing to pay for on you.

Have fun and enjoy!

2 more things I forgot.

1. The provider will 90% of the time, NOT look like what you saw on the ad.
2. You're allowed to not continue the service, ask for your money back, and leave; if things aren't working out.

It was very good of you to write this out for the newbie.

Would you mind expanding a bit on “burner apps”.
Do you have a recommendation for one?

Thanks in advance.

Just Doing what I wish someone did for me when I first started out. Everything I stated here would have helped me save SOOO much money/time when I first started.

But the first one that comes to mine would be something like Google Voice. You can have it generate a number for you, that you can use. for both text/calling. You just have to make sure you change the settings so it doesn't go off when you don't want to.

There are better ones, but it's best you do your research and choose accordingly. But for Techno illiterates... Google voice. For those who do know tech; get a vpn on your phone.

Thank you SO much! This was so helpful to read over. If you don’t mind can I PM you to discuss some things that are better divulged in private? Let me know! Thanks again!!

I saw one of those ads once for Spa One in Hampton. At first glance it looked like one of those stock ads. But on further inspection it turned out that 3 out of the 4 women I was with and could name. Hint Aries stars.

newbie you have been given some great advice. I would only add, that while definitely don’t fall for a provider, at the same time remember she is still a human being , treat and behave as you would any other woman (assuming you are not Ike Turner; yes showing my age). Whether in the Hobby Realm or the Vanilla World, never underestimate or forget gentlemanly manners, hygiene , good grooming and proper attire. Suit not needed, but save the sneakers and baseball hat for your beer time with the boys.

I most definitely did & it is highly appreciated. I always dress well as that’s just my style. But I will surely keep that in mind also. Thanks everyone!!

Woah man I feel personally attacked with the baseball hat and sneakers part haha. The hat is usually for an added layer of discretion, but sneakers are comfy!!

My apologies Shepdawg, I certainly don’t mean to offend or judge anyone. For better or worse I have a sardonic wit and am guilty sometimes of opening mouth and inserting foot. I would never want to come off as being snobbish or pompous. In fact , in my younger hobbying days I would do the whole Clark Kent thing- hat , sunglasses, no cape though. Especially with the strip mall places.

Haha no offense taken man just messing. You didn’t come off that way, it seemed like you just were saying look clean / respectable and not like some hoodlum (that’s how I interpreted it). The Covid masks really are the biggest help in the discretion department.

You received some excellent advice from others...do your homework by reading reviews on here, then go out have some fun. And most importantly make sure you discretely share your experience with us by writing honest reviews; give some input now and then and you will find how congenial everyone is. Enjoy your new adventures but remember discretion and safety are paramount.

A final thought to add, stick with a budget as this hobby can get quite addictive. You'll read in a forum about a certain provider and next thing you know your 1 session/week grows to 2, 3, 4, etc.
Set a budget and stick to it. Don’t feel you need to see all of them or even ones that are reviewed often. There are gems everywhere.

Be patient.

I suggest you read my rules to find out the do's and don'ts also how to stay safe when dealing with escorts. https://www.ampreviews.net/index.php?threads/the-rules-i-play-by-when-i-deal-with-escorts.61440/. This escort world aka the pay to play arena can be very dangerous. It's some great women in this game and it's some dangerous women in the game as well. It got a lot of filth in it with no rules or regulations filled with dangerous people, violence, robbery, drug addicts, substance abuse, scammers, human and sex traffickers', STI risk and deception. It's a reason why we all hide our true identity. It's illegal too. I'm not trying to scare you be but I want you to look at the hobby from all angles and understand the dangers. The hobby is about having enjoyable experiences during your sessions with providers while avoiding the dangers. I'm 10 months deep in this hobby.

I will add one thing......Dont set expectations too high based on reviews for both looks and service. Many times a younger good looking guy or a girls' regular is going to get some better service than an outta shape smelly guy (no offense to anyone). And with looks, remember some of the guys here over rate. I see the terms gorgeous and "10" thrown around all the time and they are not the head turners they're made out to be. Better off with a slutty whore whos average than a supermodel that is boring and thinks that her being hot is enough
