The women I have met have been quite accomplished in English. They are just a little nervous about speaking English. Once they get a comfort zone with you it's no problem. My overall experience with Korean women and Chinese women is that they're very caring. The materialism part... That depends on the quality at the women. I've gone out with some that are really frugal, and others who want Louis Vuitton. I can't say this limited just to Asian women, that's women in general.
