There is a great movie called The Butcher with Eric Roberts. It co stars Robert Davi and the great Michael Ironside ( remember him from Top Gun), as a bagman/ hitman. In the beginning Eric is having a flashback of a conversation with Michael about doing hits right as he is getting ready to do one. He remembers speaking to Michael who was giving him advce at the time. Michael told him, " the great onces have style -they have panache" . Mongers this is what separates the great ones from the ones that come and go especially on this side of the street. Chanel ,Ayana, Koreanna, Nicole Doshi, Amie, and Gina, they have style, they have what cannot be taught. They are the great ones.
Chanel used to work at Hot lips for 200.00. in 2017. I told her once she could easily get three make the same and work less or work the same and make more. She told me, in her soft but unbending manner that her cusomters come first, and she wants fo be busy every day. Ayana same thing 350 for a PSE in an apartment private setting for one hour. I told her the same she was adamant. she would not raise her rates. Same with Gina, she is gorgeous and sweet. Provides THE GF PSE experience. Their clients come first. That is the edict they live and profit by. Panache my friends, the great ones always have panache

To me the button line is we can't ignore/avoid the "Law of Economics"....someone here mention SF bay area living standard is comparable to NYC but they only raise their stand hr rate from 220 to 240 (or 260 have someone else mention here). But you all know that Bay area has plenty of talent equal to some of your favorites here. Why they want to raise their rate, well you also need to count into inflation too right??
(in my opinion) Few years ago, there were plenty of independent and my mean go to was Tiffany/Tara and Ayana...well we know where Tiffany and Tara, but i have no idea where Ayana went when this pandemic started, we just lost touch.....but i've starting to notice, there are way less independent (that got the look, service wise, and the price range) in NYC compare to what it was use to be few years back.....
Even if you look at all the ladies in agencies, it's way down too because i know many of you (including myself) asking where are those other favorites went? so therefore i think, given the agency establishment have to paid the ladies the rent and all, i'm not surprise they raised their rate.

Also think about this - was your rent the same in 2019 as was in 2016-17? No it went up every year .

There are so many people living paycheck to paycheck - look at the unemployment claims in NYC . The average American doesn’t have 400 dollars in the bank . We cannot assume everyone has the financial resolve you mention herein .

While this is true I think it's safe to say that mongers with the financial means to go to places like AL and blow $300 on a regular basis are not living paycheck to paycheck. The point of my post is that one needs to consider the price increase in the context of your whole financial picture. Even if the 401k is just 25k the $7500 extra you have justifies the $20. Whatever your worth is composed of it's a lot more now than a few yrs ago .
Agree with you here. I see it like this: if you’re complaining about a 20$ price increase, then you got bigger issues. maybe you should be jerking off instead.
I digress but I saw one if the DONY girls this week and she was complaining/mentioning how guys would say they have such a good time to her but immediately go home and write an angry review— so the same people complaining about the 20$ increase think this is a democracy and they have to get the best “bang for their buck”.

I should start telling pros they should charge more for old people and maybe even obese hobbyists. Since they have to power through and close their eyes sometimes . They think it already so it aint a big deal 
I have so many things i could talk to. To a pro, i dont need to kiss up and tell her "you could charge more!" The fact you see nothing wrong with this says all I need to know about you. It is what it is.
It's the principle. Let's be clear I didn't create this thread but I understand it. These pros were $260 in most spots like 18 mos or so. Maybe even less time than that. They are increasing it $40 in that span.
It is possible they are increasing also cause they see indys increasing prices.

Not sure what your trying to say with the esoteric quip of you know all you need to know - uncalled for and antagonistic- this is a forum - opinions vary
As for them” putting up” with old obese men look at it like a smart blockchain simple contract - it’s an automated payment for a desired service devoid of personal opinion . They check their opinions at the door when they decide to do this for a living . As for what we pay -if you, me and all mongers were capable of getting women like this in the course of our everyday lives - we wouldn’t need to be paying for it would we ? Therefore if they raise the rate beyond your capacity to afford them - stay hone or work harder- put please stop complaining.
