Redundant reviews

I realize that we are limited in our options up this way, however, I don’t know about the rest of you, but for me, it’s a little redundant seeing the same providers getting reviewed constantly. Especially when the same person reviews the same provider. For instance, I went to Oriental elite twice this past week, and saw June as well as Lisa. That being said, nothing remarkable, or out of the ordinary happened during either of these sessions, meaning what happen for me was been covered in previous reviews, so I personally did not feel the need to write my own review. Does anyone agree with this train of thought, or am I being a curmudgeon? Lol. Personally, I’m always happy to share, but I also don’t see the point in saying what’s already been said.

A comment following the other review is always helpful to establish credibility to the review. It also depends how bad you need access credit.

For me - the review count removes the possibility of the dreaded "YMMV". If I'm buying off Amazon, I'd rather 1000 people liked the product than 10. I think we all prefer to know a similar experience was had prior to making arrangements and allocating funds. Will the masseuse offer the same level of service despite the next client being heavier, skinnier, bearded, less muscles, more muscles, eye patch, peg leg, hook hands? - you get the idea. Consistency removes the possibility the experience may have been altered by personal preference of the girl.

Ya, what could more reviews of the same provider hurt? Fun to read, good to see consistency in service, can start to tell when maybe it's time for a provider to step away/burn out so maybe you don't want to see them moving forward, good to get a review if the facility is starting to go downhill or if something hinky is going on, etc...

I see no problem in multiple reviews, it's kinda what this place is for.

I usually review every visit unless it's the same girl. I plan on going to see June next week. I gave her a stellar review a few weeks ago. So most likely won't review again. But I don't care if there is ten reviews of the same girl. I'll be number eleven. Isn't that what this site is all about?

I could have sworn repeat reviews are against “the rules”, but again im not a stickler by any means, just curious to see what others think. Sometimes reading these reviews feels like a pissing contest between mongers, but I digress, at the end of the day MOST of us are here for information.

It is against the rules. I heard one review of the same provider every 90 days

Posting multiple reviews for a provider at a certain spa is not against the rules but you will only get access credit for your initial review. Subsequent reviews that are less than 90 days from the initial review are okay but no access will be given for them. That's why I prefer to give the girl another shout out as a comment to my initial review and of course no blow by blow account of the session is needed.

plus, I think its more pertinent to comment on existing reviews, instead of making new ones, but I realize some people need the credit to stay active.
If you check my profile you'll see I have enough access for years so that's not why I post. I post because it's MY session and I like to share MY experiences with other mongers.

This. As others said, it IS benefit to us to post a review of a place or girl as a followup to someone else's, to confirm the data in the timeframe. This can also be done with a "like" or a comment in the original review, but yea. But twenty reviews all saying that a girl and a place do this and that, well, that's as claimed, redundant.

Confirmatory reviews ok so they don't count, and we ought to be doing this for the intel, no so much just for the access credits. One legit review every 45 days is not too much to ask for a contributing member of the gang. One legit review and then a few that are just confirmation, yes yes and yes! I think most of the intel producers here have more than enough access credits that we don't really care if this one counts or not. I only review say 1 of 5 visits anyway, either because it's just duplicate or it's nothing of intel value. "I went there and did the exact same thing with the exact same girl you all have seen and read about a thousand times", this isn't a review, this can be done by clicking the "like" button. Heck there's two places I go every week, in addition to the others, would be silly for me to keep writing a review of the same gal four times a month for credits that last 45 days.

So yea, duplicates if confirmation, but after ten guys all say the same thing, maybe can give it a rest.

If someone wrote a solid and well written review for someone that I just saw recently. I often post a comment below saying I agree and OP's review was accurate. I may make a few comments. I think most of use understand if 6 guys confirm the same exact thing about the same review. There isn't really a need for 6 different reviews.

My other beef is if you submit a review give it a chance to post and update to the web. I see too many double/duplicate review posts. Give it a little time to update.

I’m with you, I get tired of the same reviews. I personally don’t even review OE anymore. I’m not a regular there because the parking stinks /is wide open, but I still go once in awhile, but usually someone beat me to a review. Anymore, I’ve almost started reviewing my negative experiences to help the board not waste their cash, and to keep my credits around 1 year give or take. But I don’t get pissed, I figure either mongers need some credits , and the point about more reviews lending to confidence is a good one. What annoys me are the very general repeat reviews, which I often think are fake reviews and posted for credit.

The above is my approach as well - add a comment to reflect a confirmation of previous intel or minor new intel.
I find repeat reviews with no new intel to be a wasteful use of cyberspace, but others obviously have a different take.
We probably need to try to tolerate the differences in style, though, because we all saw what happened when there was a strict regime of absolute adherence to a set of arbitrary draconian rules.
Let a thousand schools of thought contend!

Well said my friend! Thats why i ask these questions. I may not agree with everyone here, but if I try to understand where everyone is coming from, we can at least get along and enjoy the mutually beneficial nature of this site/forum

I agree with adding a positive or negative comment after a review for a girl you just saw. It adds some additional info without starting a new thread. Basically serves the same purpose.
