To echo Mr Wizard, has any secondary monger went to visit this "perfect dream girl" to confirm it's not a trap? I privately requested more details but received nothing. It almost seems too good to be true, but if it was a setup, I would have expected something back.

I agree. This sounded more like an audition to write for Playboy. At the very least a link to the advertisement where she was found. When I read Japanese girl, 18 with her own apartment in Passaic of all places, you can imagine my first thought. Not the hot bed of an Asian community. There is a community college in Paterson (Passaic county) and William Paterson college is in Wayne,nj which is Passaic county. Maybe OP was referring to the county but I took it as the city of Passaic not Passaic county. Hopefully the OP can clarify
