These ladies are doing just fine. Even at 100/hour how many here are making that for than an hour's worth of work (tax free to boot). Times this by the number of clients (conserviatyely 4-6 a day) and that close to 130-150K tax free. so don't feel too bad. Guys wouldn't mind paying a bit more if the service gets enhanced. At somepoint they will price themselves out of the market.

The only thing I will disagree about is the providers pricing themselves out. There will be mongers who will pay more than normal because they think it’s the “new normal” or “inflation”. If the quality of the providers looks and service were going up that would be acceptable, but the reverse is happening and rates still go up. It’s sad to be honest but it is what it is.

Besides that I 100% co-sign everything else, these girls aren’t struggling by any stretch of the imagination.

I’ve been mongering in Philly since 2001 and the rate was 1.6 then. My salary has quadrupled since then. Inflation increased 8% year over year. Why are we even debating .4? And then bitch about the lack of talent around here? I’ve been on both sides of this argument depending on the situation but come on fellas… This place is a wasteland because all providers who come here know this area is cheap af.

Price fixing is a fallacy. It doesn’t work with merchandise, apartments, medicine, or providers. All that results is scarcity and lower quality. Fixing a price doesn’t force others to accept it. Quality goes to where the money can be made. Lesser quality fills the void. Service declines because there’s no incentive for exceptional service. So all that’s “saved” for the price of 20-40 dollars is a poor experience with less attractive providers. Brilliant!

No one claimed it did, or at least I don’t. The argument is that 20-40 more would make no difference so everyone should limit what they spend to the bare minimum and it’s the provider who will be forced to accept less. That’s not how free markets work.

Well, for my extra tip I can assure you that I am getting better service than when they receive the bare minimum. That's why they ask for the tip up front for new customers. They want to know what level service you expect. When they finally give into you low tip and say to bring more next time, they adjust their service to a lower level. Live a little and see what happens next time.

they don't have to accept anything. If the lady requests an additional 20 from me and I don't feel I will get value from it I walk. If the prodiver doesn't like the donation then they don't have to do the service for that and that's cool with me too.

I've been in plenty of these situations where we just cannot agree so we agree to not move forward.

It has nothing to do with being cheap. I have money for a reason -- I don't overpay for something I don't feel is worth it. If I feel it's worth it, I will pay.
