Not trying to be a jerk, but your physical description of Linda and even the location don't align with my experience. Maybe there's another Linda, but that number doesn't belong to a place in Crown Heights as far as I know.

I know that. However, the spa is not located in Crown Heights.
East side of Washington has always been Crown Heights. Sure, real estate brokers started calling it Prospect Heights at some point but no.

"Crown Heights is bounded by Washington Avenue to the west, Atlantic Avenue to the north, Ralph Avenue to the east, and Empire Boulevard/East New York Avenue to the south."

Fair enough. Still confused by the "slim" part, but hey, maybe there are two Lindas over there now. Thanks for the civil response.

Love the gentrification history lesson lol. Love to be educated on other topics here as well aside from rates and service haha

Lol, exactly. I thought it was just "Clinton Hill" or whatever. Nice to learn about history/geography in addition to where to get a good bust off.
Ha - nah you have to cross Atlantic and then you've entered Clinton Hill. The NY Times recently published a piece about neighborhood boundaries and how they've "changed" over time. Real estate brokers have pushed them and even created new neighborhood names to maximize profits. Most of Brooklyn is now living in some part of Park Slope!

As my useless sociology degree reminds me. Redlining and Renaming are two common gentrification tactics to take over a place. Ex: new comers are trying to rename Bushwick, as West Williamsburg lol
