The OP's description of events is interesting, self-aware and feels very honest to me. It's also a textbook description of what we all mean by chemistry, and how a session - any kind of interaction actually - can go off the rails.
It seems to take a wrong turn at Ldjedi1109's grabbing May's butt. The OP says it wasn't rough, May disagrees. I'm sure both people have had plenty of great interactions with others in the business, so I'm sure both are telling the truth, as they experienced it.
Physicality can be hard to measure as it's so intertwined with emotions. For example, from experience in the martial arts I know that sparring with "light contact" is an almost meaningless term because it's so subjective. It often leads to someone losing their temper, while the other is mystified, having meant no harm and having had no issues with others in the past.
Furthermore, if both parties were not at their best, one misunderstanding can lead an encounter rapidly downhill that otherwise might have been fulfilling for both.
I say, chalk it up to "one of those things" and move on.
