OK. I haven't waded into this debate before, but somehow I feel I should at this point. I get it: NYAW gets a lot of reviews. It's one of the most popular spas in Manhattan, so I would expect more reviews of them than I would expect to see for smaller spas or newer spas. And if a place gets a lot of reviews, some of them will be from experienced members, others from newer ones. That by itself doesn't seem like a sign of malignant conspiracy.
This forum is great but if we read it often we're gonna see thing we disagree with, or even are suspicious about. I'm skeptical about a lot of reviews I see on this site. For a lot of spas. I could create a long list of spas whose girls have reviews that seem overblown to me. "Wonderful Spa" comes to mind, among many others. And in many cases these overblown reviews seem incongruous because one day I'm reading that the following services were provided, and the next day a longstanding member of this board writes that he went to the place and the girl didn't look anything like he expected, and the service was not anything like what was described in the glowing reviews.
With NYAW, I honestly don't see that issue. I see a lot of good reviews, describing similar levels of service. And in my visits, my experience has been similar to what I expected based on reviews I had read. So....I dunno....I am just a little skeptical about a lot of things, including the notion that there are new accounts opening daily posting misleading reviews about NYAW. Honestly, I don't see it.
