I am somewhere in between when it comes to review preferences. I was a teenager when I called a phone number from a tiny massage ad in the back of City Paper with a mostly naked woman smiling at me. A guy answered and I said " I want to get laid". Without missing a beat the guys answers, "me too"... and hangs up.

"Young and dumb" comes to mind in hindsight. The problem with over the top reviews is they read disingenuous. Like the author is trying too hard to make you believe something which is the first sign of bull shit. Minimalist reviews smell of uselessness and what's the point?

We need the full swing of the pendulum in order to judge the middle. Everyone should do what they wanna, but please just do something!
