I don’t think she recognized me, so she asked me to put my phone number in her phone, I guess to check if I was someone she has had business with before and not LE. Looking back not thrilled my number is archived in her phone.

In the past, if a provider was great, I would ask for their number. It’s helpful if they move to another location. It could be troublesome depending on your situation. Take care how you label it... and answer it...

I want my number in their phone, aids their recall of who I am. Anything bad happens, I have to sweat the plausible deniability. Most providers use iphones.... which lessens the risk for all .....

Use Google Voice , or some facsimile thereof?
Doesn't keep them from saving it, but provides a layer of protection possibly?

can use a secondary phone number on your mobile phone. I use "Sideline". about $3 per month. Great for using as a business number as well in some situations.

Right - I know about burner phones and GV, etc. They all use phone numbers, and when you call a provider, they have the number, whatever it is. So I was wondering how someone posted they were surprised a provider would have their number, of course they do!
