My apologies...it wasn’t my intention to ask a stupid question. I have a card I use exclusively for hobbying. I have used it once or twice out at Dennis hof’s (RIP) place. Yes, legal out there not so here. But it was just a question that had a simple yes or no answer. As for mongering, telling someone their behavior is contrary to the jist of the query presented isn’t mongering.

I used credit cards at a few places and was never asked for a DL, including golden oldies like Apple, Cherry (Ranstead) and ridge spa (both locations).
