Here for a good time not a long time.
The moment I realize how much more I can be investing in index funds if I didnt hobby so often.
Amen to that and you still can! I consider myself more as a trader than an investor.I feel investing is for the long term and older generation, while trading is for the good short term quick cash.(Different story for another day lol)This hobby is an investment if you think about it.The more time you spend with someone, the better their value or usefulness increased haha

That’s why I pay for this hobby with interest income from my savings and dividends from my current portfolio...waiting for a downturn then going to go cold turkey for a bit and go all in on investing

That is actually clever! but the only downfall is that one have to have the large capital and a good interest percentage .

I've got Ally Bank and Marcus by Goldman Sachs which gets me 1.7% APY each. But once the market goes down, Fed should hopefully raise interest rates so will get back to 2.0% APY. Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) pays a 1.30 per share dividend (which makes about 50% of my investment portfolio). I can fund 1-2 visits per month on this, but sometimes I get spoiled and do more...this hobby is too addicting

Haha I have a 1.7% APY too! But with Discover. It use to be 2% but as you said fingers cross.Stocks are too hard for me to understand like s&p 500, dow Jones, nasdaq, etc and I get impatient So I am into the forex market .
