Not to belabor this, but a simple click of the Report button at the bottom of the review, along with a brief description of the violation, would have gotten the mods’ attention regarding the overly graphic title. They could have edited it days ago, and all this back and forth would have been unnecessary. The mods can’t fix a problem if they’re not aware of it.

This is true. That said, it was our fault that the title wasn't edited before we approved it, and that's our bad.

But both of you guys made good points, and we all learn from it.

I simply voiced a concern - didnt ask you to play authority figure and yet you chose to repeatedly come back and poke at it even when my comments werent directed to you. Now you still continue to do so with the condescending attitude and it isnt appreciated. You are not the authority figure here. Last time ill say this - lay off.

We should all thank god for the self appointed hall monitors
@oldhorndog53 is not a self-appointed hall monitor...he is a senior member that's been very helpful with his insight and advice over the years, and has been a great asset to the site and overall community. We should all hope that our veterans are as helpful and knowledgeable as he is. In fact, all of our members should be able to self-police themselves, so that the staff can concentrate on other things on our plate, instead of having to step in whenever there's a minor spat.

Is he the sole authority on all matters related to the site? Of course not, and while he might not always roll out the red carpet all the time, he most definitely means well, and if I were most members, I'd listen to what he has to say.

Senior doesnt mean that someone gets to talk down to the rest of us and pretend he is the authority figure here. Sometimes a but of myob is in order. He wasnt trying to help. He was trying to play hall monitor as someone else put it. Too much flex. Im 51 years old and dont need to allow that behavior. If he is so senior he should know better.

You have to understand that many of our members are former members of boards that were shut down (like SH), and after being burned through multiple instances, they are being extra cautious, as they don't want the same thing to happen here. They are doing their part to protect the board, and from what I know about @oldhorndog53, he really is trying to help. Perhaps his tone didn't come across well (lots of times it doesn't due to text-only communication), but he is a really good dude that we rely on to help us out where he can.

Let's not further derail the review...we can all hash it out in a different venue.

hhnyc77, it might be too late, this train had many cars derail quite awhile ago. I hope all of the passengers survived. At this point this thread is not doing this spa any good. If the OP's are the engineers of the thread, they have most of the responsibility to keep the train on the tracks once it leaves the station.
