I appreciate you’re attempt to clarify the debate but your analogy is faulty on the following points:

“Good tippers and friendl, respectful customers have Their drinks made well”

I was very careful to make the point that there was no bad behavior on the part of the client. Tipping at the bar takes place after the tab is settled, not before. I mentioned that I intended to tip above the VIP rate afterwards but based on experience decided against it.

“Regulars always get better service”

Better service isn’t the debate, fulfillment of services promised is.

A better analogy to what I wrote using a bartender is to say that a customer who was considered a regular or good tipper received extras beyond the expected service whereas the non-regular, or average tipper was charged for drinks they never received.
Good analogy there!

The hobby is always YMMV and I too will not return when the service doesn't live up to the base level expected in the hobby. We definitely can't predict a connection with a provider, but it isn't our job to ensure there is enough of one for the "base" expectations. If something prevents a provider from going to that level they should kindly let us know so we can go somewhere else...

I've been in the hobby long enough to experience the whole spectrum of realities. I have had experiences (rarely) so poor that I've requested partial or full refunds! Nothing more annoying than paying full service rates and then a provider refusing to do anything more than a HJ. Not a problem, but then the tip has to be adjusted accordingly to reflect the services rendered and expected. These few experiences is why I rarely tip upfront and when I do I never "overtip" upfront. I've had sessions so enjoyable at the AMP though that I've over tipped more than double the base rate. But never before I am left wowed to that level.

A "connection" whatever that means in the hobby is important too, but shouldn't be a base requirement (that's what the payment is for -- to bypass the whole connection mess). But the few times I've managed to have that connection the sessions have been memorable. I had one session where we both connected well and the AMP girl refused to let me pay. Insisted I had done her such a service that she should have paid me so wouldn't take the tip. That's only happened once though... Usually when it happens I tip more and see how often that connection lasts. I've had my share of providers where that connection is gone on the repeat visit. It is all YMMV.
