Phoenix is a gem whether you’re new to her or a regular, that is not how she is, she’s a real professional, your description of her also off, are you sure it’s Phoenix you’re talking about. Chefboyar, I don't think you are too much 'white knighting'. The dude's review may be more his opinion than unbiased reporting. Also, many of his reviews and comments are negative, which may be how he sees things.

The quality of service has gone down year on year, while tips and general tolerance to service have gone up! It's almost like - worse the treatment, higher the tips from people hoping to get a better service.

Regarding tipping / paying up front - HAGNJ had the right idea about this and a number of stores in NYC are also applying this model.

I have seen fake reviews of this place possibly the people running it upselling the business as they know customers read this. I wanted to make it transparent ..low service level, higher cost n shorting of time..not a repeat kind of place ..good old days in ocean spa in Sayreville..it was so simple n so good. Such places are almost non existent

Place like Ocean still there just not in central jersey. Ocean gals like Cici is at gold (Mimi), Apple is also at gold (Angela), Bebe is at Punta Cana, Coco is at 365, Wendy is at Ch168 (Queens).

OP is way off. I go here almost weekly. They treat me like a king. I do not over pay and I am never rushed. Don't bad mouth a place because you had one bad experience. Maybe they just don't like you. Cici runs a great AMP.
