A 20% tip is expected, a 30% tip is better. You’re too used to tipping for sexual extras and have that clouding your point of reference. Tip more if it makes you feel good but don’t criticize those that tip the customary rate or 10% greater than the customary rate.

LOL did you read the article you sourced? So you’re really comparing westernized luxury spas to a local Chinese spa that charges 35 bucks an hour? The two spas in your article are charge these rates:
Exhale spa/$230 for 50 minutes.
Canyon spa / $179 for 50 minutes.
Clearly the recommended 20% tip these luxury spa owners recommended would make sense, but not quite when these mom and pop spots are charging 35 an hr.
Listen, but you continue doing what you do though, I’m just letting you know $10 tip is below the standard at these Asian massage spots if you’re doing 1-2 hour body massage.

There’s a cultural disconnect and we’re trying to inform you what’s considered proper and yet you keep referring to your restaurant tip playbook lol then you source an article from two spas who are okay with 20% tip that charge on average 200 hr and compare that to an Asian spot that charges 35 hr LOL.
