I live Mountain View, not certain there are any rough areas, rather there are areas with relatively lower rent, but still expensive.
I remember in Redbook days Chinese houses in Mountain View where you could show up and get services with actually pretty decent providers. I think I got a phone number, called, got address, said come by, no qualifying, other than eyeballing me at the door. Since I was older white dude, maybe if they thought if LE, they would have sent Chinese or Asian cop.?
