Yea i highly doubt Koreans live in this area. I google the phone# and found their ad on cityxguide. It did say "South East Asian (Chinese, Thai, Malay, Filipino, etc)" in the ethnicity section.
Btw Fugu, do you know any Korean spots in Brooklyn? I only know the place on ConeyIsland Ave.
Yea, but the ads say anything they want. I dont know if lying about your ethnicity is supposed to attract repeat customers. She did talk with the other woman on my way out in a language, but I dont know chinese or korean well enough to distinguish.
as for knowing any kspots, not really. There are probably some spas out there that have a girl or two under their employ, like Gold Spa before that shut down, but I havent seen much besides that and presumably this. I havent run into k-girl only places though. I havent even visited Best Spa ever, despite 1Above being one of my main motivations for getting into the hobby lol.
Those Korean spots are set up to service the ultra orthodox jews. Without the yeshiva boys and the men with 10 kids and 2 cankles at home the owners wouldn't bother to go so far south. There might be similar places in Williamsburg. On the other hand all of the yeshivas are a few miles east of there near Queens College so that a jaunt to Flushing makes satellite spas impractical.
Interesting. Actually I did write about the nail spot in Greenpoint a while back and despite listing it as Chinese it was a Korean woman. Its not quite Williamsburg but its pretty close. They closed but have apparently reopened a new place on Meeker. Maybe worth another toftt, but I would advise against. Never seen any ads for Williamsburg spas, if they exist they must be really utr.
I havent seen any k-spas in Flushing, will have to take a better look next time I'm around the area.
Any reason why these korean spots are made to cater to jews, specifically the orthodox ones?
