So far i have left 2 reviews. One for a place in AC that never showed up in the nj review list and the other for a place in east windsor nj that did show up but now says review status:rejected.

Im confussed since this was a very honest wattered down review of my most recent visit. There is nothing about it that would be rejected.

Can someone (site admin) shed some light on how they want reviews. Im not going to waste time writing my review visits if they are not going to post. If a simple informative honest review is rejected what kind of review am i supposed to provide?

Thanks

The boss is likely on vacation. Hopefully a bunch will be loaded up at once.
One of mine was rejected, but still posted. But I understood the reasons. A trusted buddy had visited the place and said it was pretty good. I passed along the info he passed to me. I did not want it to be taken as a review, but just as possibly helpful information.

Same thing with me, I have two that are in limbo. I was going to write another one today, but why should I bother?
When you see my avatar in thread I posted in, shows I have 2 reviews but the second one is not posted.
The review issue needs to be fixed. You write them and then they go into limbo. Sometimes you see them and sometimes you don't.

I have posted 7 or so reviews. 6 showed up but credited with 2. 1 is in limbo now but that may be due a new process. I am thinking the administrator wants to check them first now. So, I posted 3 days ago, still waiting. No reason for it to be rejected.

Relax guys, Top Jimmy is trying to still handle everything solo. He is trying to address that issue and needs some help.

Besides his Mom passed away early this month as he reported on two other threads. This has really upset him, he needs some time to process. That is why he is way behind on things.

Wish him the best, this spa site is not his highest priority right now. Although it is still growing by leaps and bounds.

Sorry to hear that. Yes, sometimes life gets in the way of places like this.

Thanks very much everyone. I'm steadily making it through.
A couple of things-
I was not aware that people's reviews are disappearing. Totally new to me. I will have to check each and every one, so please be patient.
But for some of you, you're just unfamiliar with the process so I guess I need more stickies.
If your review submission lacks details, I will reject it. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING that skips the "Private Details" section gets rejected, period. Don't try to argue the point. I'm gonna reject it, period.
One of you said "watered down"
That's fine. If it's so watered down that you didn't put anything in the private details, now you know what happened. But if you just meant that you weren't explicit with the details, I'm perfectly fine with that. I will approve it.
Now, if I reject a review, it doesn't go away. It stays there. There was a piece of garbage posted the other day that didn't even have 30% of the fields filled out. I rejected it, yet there was a whole thread of people griping that it got approved. It didn't. And I wouldn't.

My requirement for approval: Your review needs to be of value to the readers.

Yep, it's subjective. it's based on my opinion and mine alone. If I add a few moderators, then it will be based on their opinions too. All boards work that way, so may as well be straight up about it.
Speaking of that, that's what you'll always get from me. I will be straight up and honest. You may not always like my answer, but you'll grow to appreciate my approach.

I am disappointed as hell to hear that reviews are disappearing, and I will work like hell to get that fixed.

And I'm sorry for the time lapse in approving reviews. Real life got in my way.

Finally if you wrote more reviews than what your count shows, then either I haven't got to them yet. (Im caught up except the past few days) or I rejected it. Your count won't go up if I reject your review.

One final note, I am noticing that there are some of you who are doing a damn good job of contributing to this site trying to make it your new home. I want to thank you for that. I am noticing. I am starting to randomly add private access time to those of you and you know who you are.

It's a blessing. For me to be able to go away to tend to my deceased mother and then come back and find only a few fires to put out, but yet hundreds of new reviews to approve and members here willing to give me the benefit of the doubt really touches my heart and inspires me to do whatever I can to make this site better. I know there's bigger boards with a lot more traffic. Heck I advertise on one of them. AR is just the baby, the new kid on the block, but at the speed we are moving, I see great things ahead.

Thank you

I will go through and check these one by one and provide an answer for each. All I have is time for the first one.

You skipped the Private Details. I rejected your review.
Feel free to post again but you can't leave that field blank. It's gotta have details that you would only want to share with the other contributing members of this board and not the whole world.

As for your other review, there's some weird mechanism on this board that randomly selects posts and makes me approve them. I've been fighting with this thing. I just found your review in there and accepted it. I can't turn the feature off because it also prevents spam registrations from getting on the board and wreaking havoc. Be patient while I figure that one out. Now I believe that everyone who thinks their review disappeared are victims of that crappy feature. I'll go in later and accept all the posts so they appear.

I'm gonna add some extra time for you Mr Massage Vet for the inconvenience and frustration. Thanks for bringing it up so I could address it

Jimmy,

I most def believe that i left provate details on the rejected review. Maybe entered them in the wrong section. Thanks for hunting down the other review. Everyone that knows me (mostly every monger on the east coast) knows im here to assist.

You seem super cool so im glad you seem to be a real straight shooter (no pun intended).

Im in the amp's everyday so my reviews will start to pile up fast.

Anything I can do just ask.

Peace

I'm just slightly confused by the line, "You skipped Private Details...You can't leave that field blank"..Ect..Now here is where i'm a bit confused..If i write a review
about 3 AMPS that are "legit" (i've already written about 1) and i don't put anything in the "Private Details" section, because there really are no private details, all
3 of my reviews will be rejected?..Or am i missing something here?..Thanks in advance!
