I am not a big fan of the ST first followed by the massage. I like the massage, with some teasing to start, as it relaxes me and gets me in the right mood. Then do the ST. I know they run into clock issues that way, but that has always worked best for me. The last time I was there I had the ST first, and while it was nice, I was not as relaxed and ready as I would have been with the massage first. Just my .02.

On the flip side, several times I've found myself anxiously awaiting the ST part too much to the point where I'm not enjoying the actual massage part first, because all I'm thinking about is the ST. There's a case to be made both ways.

I've had where I get the ST first, then fall asleep during the massage. I kind of like that

If only there were a way to communicate our preference during a given session to the masseuse. I am busy brain storming of how to do this. Any time I've tried to communicate these sort of preferences, it has about a 50% effective rate. 25% of the time she says YES OK OK but then nothing changes. 25% of the time she does the opposite. (This goes for all spots not just River Green).

Just speak up? I get why they want to do the ST first. If they are running late with the massage, and we want the ST to last, it goes over the hour and thats not good for them. But like I said, I enjoy the massage better knowing the ST finish will be at the end, especially when they do some teasing during the massage.

I have fallen asleep during the massage, only to be woken up for the ST. The best was the one time I fell asleep and woke up to a four hand ST.
Yes I always at least try to speak up and give my preferences. It was more about the fact that sometimes the masseuse is not able to understand what I am trying to communicate.

This is actually harder to do at a R&T place vs. FS. At a FS place saying "boom, boom" is well understood and easy to get to the main event whenever you want. I feel like HE places the providers have their little "routines" that get thrown off when you try and change it or give them direction. But body gestures and just basic hand motions can certainly help make clear what you want, WHEN you want. Doesn't hurt to try.

I ask for soft massage which is like ST…so no communication issues there. Soft massage segue into soft touch = all the same, is fine by me. If I had real body aches and such, I’d probably go where I can get more of a therapeutic version. But that’s just me.

Normally that's true but randomly I've also had some of the best actual massages at HE places. Best of both worlds!

I would agree with this 100%. Sony at River Green gives a fantastic, hard massage. She is combination of Michael Jordan and Rodman; a “slam dunk” for getting out your knots and generally brings a ferocious tenacity “around the rim”.
