Actually the active antibiotic ingredient in mouthwash is alcohol , so it follows that a good swish and swallow of vodka might be even more effective and a far better, more appealing offering.
Some years ago I was with a provider who offered me some booze and we shared a swig before. I was not thinking about STDs at the time but she might have been on to something.

Many years ago heard of an employee of a company I worked with that thought he had strep throat. Turned out to be gonorrhea. Never saw so many coffee cups thrown out at the same time. Of course, this was the same guy that a year later had a bowel obstruction. Turned out to be a spaulding ball.
