Has anyone used paid version of Rubmaps before? Is it easy to cancel after you pay for one month?

If you pay for 1 month it cancels on its own (once your subscription expires) until you give them more money.

I just stopped using it when I found this site. The reviews are helpful, but more and more AMPs were posting fake reviews to get you in there.

When I was first starting out, RubMaps was a great source, but now that I am a seasoned Monger, it's not really worth the money.

They don’t cancel on their own, you have to contact them before the 30 days end otherwise they will keep charge your card monthly...and it’s not worth it as most of the reviews are fake.

Depends on how you pay for your subscription. If you pay with a prepaid card it cancels after the period you pay for is up. Which is how I paid... can’t be traced back to my bank account and will not reoccur payment.

What i do like is the search feature. Find a spa that intrigues me, and then look it up here.

after spa hunters closed that was the alternate site which came with a fee. Now I find this site to be more useful and clearly serves my purpose.

Regardless of hetting a subscription, I find the info "Rubmaps" to be antiquated. It seems okay to research old places more than anything else but not worth what they are asking for. Not even close.

I was a member until recently and decided to cancel my membership. Yes, its easy to cancel, but just gotta remember to cancel. Being a recent member here, I would compare activities and noticed this site gets more reviews than the other.

It's funny, but I mostly use RM to help in locating a spa I'm interested in. You don't have to be a paying member to look at the address and little photo (surprisingly helpful for some locations!)

Hahaha. So true. The tiny little outside pic does help. I have found myself using google maps drive by to pinpoint the spas.

Yeah but I don’t understand why they charge to read a review? May be it’s ok for business to advertise but not for customers.

Simple answer—they want to make money and have a product that people are willing to pay for. Welcome to the free market!

I was a member for a while and liked reading the reviews. It helped when you're new so you know what to expect and find what your are looking for. Cancelling is a piece of cake they instruct you how to cancel the membership or you can use a pre pay cc also

When I look at the names of the girls at a spa on Rubmaps and compare to the names of the girls at SPA's that I know then I see names that don't match. This makes me wonder if there are fake reviews at Rubmaps.

Don’t wonder. Guaranteed that the site is filled with fakes. They have to keep up the pretense that they have fresh reviews and volume to attract subscribers.

I have been a member of RM for many, many years. For me, it is excellent info. Especially since I travel all over the country. Wherever I am, a quick search can let me know what is available in the area. The info is also shielded from the general public. That said, I also use any other info available, including this Forum. I usually post reviews in both. This Forum has much better comment feature.

I too have wondered about names given at parlors I'm pretty familiar with in RM reviews.
