Is there any spa besides GGT that isn’t surrounded by other businesses? For example I drove by Oakland t & s, FBT, and YS spa. All of them were just way too busy and it’s impossible to not be seen. GGT is atleast secluded where it’s less likely to be seen. Just wondering if there were any spots similar in north jersey! Being that I look younger I just try to go late to a high foot traffic area when most business are closed because I get the feeling with my luck some town lady will see me go in and call to report it. You can PM as well!

You’re over thinking it. Most people don’t know or don’t care. Wear your mask going in if you’re that concerned. Almost all of these places have some sort of foot traffic.

Jefferson Spa. It's a basic Asian place with older women.

Im going to agree with Rusty. Most people don't care or are oblivious to it and wear your mask. More understandable if you're a guy that knows a lot of people.

I get it. It’s not about people caring or not. It’s the internal feeling. I go to a spot in a professional building that operates like a legit spot, walls all the way up, doors lock. It matters. Further east of Oakland is HNS, secluded with some great reviews. Not far from FBT is Tokyo. Good spot.

Any spa with its own driveway or parking lot is ok I think…Eva spa in fair lawn, you park in the back and the entrance is on the side of the building.

Aqua spa Edgewater, both parking and entrance is behind the building.

Dover spa, you can park behind the building and “sneak in”

I’m sure there are others

I understand your concerns; would only add that if your schedule permits, those less-than-discreet locations are more anonymous after regular business hours- do your reconnaissance- see if the other businesses in the strip mall close by 6/7/8; most RT places will take you up until closing time (10pm typically)if you call first. And Super Bowl Sunday with crappy weather is an absolutely great day to hobby.

unless you are going to a place in your home town (where you live) most people would not recognize you even IF they noticed you. Also, with a mask on its almost like you are invisible. Plus the busier locations people are just doing their thing or driving. Don't overthink it.

The pandemic has erased virtually all of my concerns about being recognized. The mask is a perfect work around for it and no one would think twice about seeing once wearing one. And what would someone call the report? That they saw a customer walk into a place of business? Lol

Yeah i always forget that I can wear a mask lol! I guess my concern is that I’m young and look even younger so without a mask I can see people thinking I’m way to young and report the spa to have it checked out. That’s really my main concern

I'm to agree it's more in your head than anyone else really cares. Wear a mask anyway but walk confident and don't look around too much. You should be ok

I once walked out of a place and there were three women having a coffee on bench next door. They knew where I was coming from, and I knew they knew, but I didn't care. It helped that I had a mask on, but still, it wouldn't bother me. That is why I go outside of my home town (where there are none anyway).

Mask and hoodie are options especially in the winter when its cold. There is classic in Paterson nice area border of Woodland Park, own parking lot rear entrance.

I'm thinking just the opposite. If there are other businesses and you're there, you could be going to any of the others. But if there's only and AMP, anyone passing by knows where you're going.

I was you once. Young, nervous but I just frequented one spot, stuck with it, and it became no biggie for me - and this was pre-pandemic (almost 10 years ago). Now I'm married, and out of the hobby for far too long, looking to get back in. I'm going through the same thing again but with the mask, that's the perfect cover. I'm thinking of trying YS but when I search for them in the forums, I get no matches despite knowing I've seen them reviewed before.

Search by town. If you wanted to find it, you would.

aqua in edgewater is nice because you park in the back. YS i used to go at night before they close, the parking lot is empty. if its out in the open I just keep my head down and walk swiftly, no one probably thinks anything of it.

The chances of your car being spotted is far greater than you, especially if you mask up. You're only going to be transiting for a short amount of time in the parking lot/public areas, but your vehicle is exposed for the duration. If I were you, I'd concentrate on parking you car carefully & out of the way.
