1938 looked closed about a month ago. I may have to give them a try again. One time I went based on a review here and saw the youngest provider I've ever seen. MMS said she had just turned 20 two weeks ago.

Raider, what I said is very accurate. Maybe VIP took over Sky. Go there & check it out for yourself.

I am very familiar with 1938 Spa's location. For a number of years, they used to have a sign out front advertising massage for $49.99.

I am in Martinsville quite often, so I know where Sky was & I know where 1938 is.

It's possible that George is right. That might explain why 1938 was dark for a while.

It's still Sky Spa as far as their listing on Google goes, and as far as reviews are concerned according to the owner.

The Spa is licensed and registered as VIP Spa, so the township asked them to change the sign on the outside of the Spa to match how it's registered with the town.

I'm still amaze how much HJ knows about these establishments. Like a godfather of AMPs. :)

I think that's a pretty good indication of how well Bridgewater has been run for the past 20 years, by both parties. They don't care if you're running a brothel, but if your sign doesn't match the paperwork, *that* they have a problem with, lol.

BW is not that lenient. They did a round of inspections last here and issued citations. Mostly for girls possibly sleeping at the spa. Also they make sure the girls have a massage license. And they cross reference the license with your ID. This is the easy way to shut them down.

They make sure the spa is licensed. 99 % of the girls in these spas are not licensed. The only thing Bridgewater really seems to care about, is that the girls are not sleeping in the spa, and that the stores are not open past what ever time each Boro happens to have as a set curfew. I believe in most of Bridgewater, it's 10 PM.

Bridgewater is not that lenient?!?! They have, what, 11 places where you're guaranteed a hj, and over half of them you can get fs? That doesn't happen by accident. How many do neighboring Branchburg and Bedminster have? How many other towns in NJ other than the big urban ones can compare to the number in Bridgewater?
Towns that want to keep these places out manage to do it. The police and township know exactly what is going on in them. For so many places to be so obviously what they are for so many years doesn't happen unless the town has actively decided they don't want to do anything about it.

Granted, I appreciate that they *haven't* been shut down, obviously, lol. From a good government perspective, though, it's appalling.

Don't be a Karen. Bridgewater is twice the size of Branchburg & Bedminster combined. Like I said, don't be Karen. We don't like Karen's.

Who gives a shit what you like? And yes, Bridgewater is twice the size of those 2 combined, so if you think that's relevant they should have 5 or 6 of these places between them, and I'm pretty sure they have zero. Which was exactly my point.

Bridgewater, at times, has had 12 active spas. Facebook Karen's are the number 1 reason for run-ins. Also, the Board of Health makes regular rounds, so the places have be clean, no evidence of living there (can be as simple as a "bed" pillow and blanket, and no cooking. Sometimes the County orchestrates a sweep, particularly if they get State or Federal anti-trafficking grant money.
