Would anyone considered buying an existing AMP? No, I don't have one for sale but an AMP girl I got close to 2 years ago told me of one was for sale in Manhattan. She wanted a partner and a $75k investment. While this was tempting, being in the business development side of the hospitality business, I asked her to break down the costs and she couldn't just told me girls get a 60/40 split and the house was collecting $10k a week from her and she assume the other 5 working girls were doing similar. I imagined unlimited sex from the girls as the partner but that's not the reality so I told her I didn't have the money. She even lowered the investment to $50k to put the lease under my name and that was a no in my mind. I think perks of owning an amp less than reality, it's not like the CEO gets to eat in the 5 star restaurants that the hotel group owns whenever he wants.
I saw another thread people asking does hotel know girls checking in is a working girl. The answer is absolutely Yes. I started in the biz as a mgmt trainee in the front desk. We absolutely know the working girls and the pimps. We even know when guys check in with girls they don't think are escorts. If they are respectful of other guest the hotel managers leave them alone because their pay is based on occupancy, an empty room is lost revenue. Most of the smarter girls will tip the staff well for extra towels and mid day room cleaning. I worked all the great ones in Midtown back in the days including the Sheraton, Roosevelt (which just closed) and in DC the Hay Adams and Mayflower, if I can find a writer i could publish a book.
