Was driving through Sunset Park today and figured if I was able to find a spot I would try whatever place was close. It wasn't easy to find parking because of the holiday but one opened up around 7th & 57th. Pulled in and walked down the block and up the stairs to Sunny Spa on 57th - without calling first. Was greeted by the MMS (who I am sure I have never seen before) who introduced to me 3 unattractive older women. A young one appeared named Lela and when I inquired about her she told me "busy, come back in an hour". So I left, chalked it up as a loss and headed home.
An hour later I get a message on my monger number from the MMS to come back Lela is free. I immediately was a little freaked out because I had no clue how she got my number. The woman spoke English really well so I decided to inquire about how she got it. She immediately responded that she answers the phone for many spas with a tongue out smiley emoji. Now I am sure that I have never met this MMS in person so the only possible scenario is that she screen capped me from the camera feed of some spa she answers the phone for and attached it to my number. She then must have scrolled through her contacts until she came across a match. So it is safe to assume that not only are our numbers saved on these places' phones but they are attached to photos of us. I am sure there are comments about us too - if we a good customer or a problem.
I could only imagine what would happen if these phones are confiscated in a raid and made public. Mask up!
