I've been on and off SA for the last 5 years, but my last 2 cycles have been underwhelming (last login was August 2023). Felt like everyone was asking for 1k ppm minimum and deposits/gifts before even meeting up. I also know that SA was policing PPM and the whole purpose of the site, and trying to turn their platform into an actual dating site. Anyone still doing the SB grind? Has the scene improved or it's still like I remember it? Thanks in advance.

I haven’t used it much lately, but I will say that it led to an amazing experience when traveling internationally a few months ago. Agreed that the quality had gone way down domestically

I agree with you about SA being great internationally. It was a blast for me for Japan and Korea. But it is very time-consuming and you need a lot of patience.

It's hard work in NYC but if you are prepared to do a ppm of 400-600 you can do pretty well. I have a nice rotation of 3 all met in last 6 months, all host in Manhattan and very mellow.

I have a trip to Barcelona coming up, I'll do some groundwork the month before and let you guys know if it was worth it.

I think 4-600 is reasonable but I wasn't finding a lot in that range. Maybe it was just the time of the year/ I didn't have the energy to put in the work.

So I tried out SA for the last week- testing the local and Barcelona demographics- and I've already deactivated my account. Regarding Barcelona- the average PPM requested was 600-800 euro and after week it seemed like I saw every account in Barcelona 4-5 times over. After digging into the resources provided on another international thread on this board and another site, you are MUCH better off just seeing a pro for ~150 euro an hour. I need to use Google translate constantly, but 2 days doing footwork on the Spanish boards yielded exponentially better prospects than the nonsense SA dance of chatting and bartering and less options.

Overall, I'm probably retiring from SA for good after this since the NY interactions weren't encouraging either, which seem to be predominantly scams/bots/blackmailers or wildly high maintenance.

So much this. There's a 20% - 30% overhead timewise to get rid of those. There are indicators that make it easier. For example if you get a flurry of favorites about 5 minutes after you logged in, they all likely found that you are online via a bot, so not likely there's any real woman that you'll get to meet, regardless of the purpose of the fake account. So I have to play whack-a-mole with those.

And then a woman comes along who totally seems impossible. I just saw one literally this evening who so too good to be true, who I was so sure was a scam that I rearranged my stuff so that if I was being set up to get jacked they would get my money and CCs but not my dr license, debit card, or other IDs. Even while she was sucking me I was thinking maybe I didn't check well enough and she's really a tranny. But no, she was just totally legit. She hosts, she isn't psycho, she wasn't hiding some hideousness via photoshop, she doesn't seem to be an addict of any kind, she insisted on safety, her location is super convenient, and I had a great time. Like I said too good to be true. (And you'll have to find her yourself, so don't DM me.) So go figure.
