So I am currently addicted to Pot Limit Omaha and am gambling away hundreds(thousands) a night in a game thats played by pros and young tech/finance early leadership.

I really rather be spending my money on AMPs but the rush of the game just trumps any of those experiences. I have seen alot of the best talent and gotten extra services so its not like I can be be more hypergomous than that.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get over my addiction so I can get back to just slamming these beautiful girls?

Go to Gamblers Anonymous before it consumes you. I have a brother that’s an addicted gambler. He’s 60 now, nothing to show for all his years on this planet. He lives with a family, he’s been like a nanny to their kids for years, now he’s basically like slave for them, he even pays them a few bucks a month in rent, and due to his addiction is in the rears on that. He’s an Uber driver, whenever he gets a couple of hundred together, he runs to the casino.

I used to play hold em A LOT in the 2010's and lost the money for my bills more time than I care to admit. You have to develop the discipline to create a gambling budget. If you are gambling with your extra cash after bills, basic needs and savings are taken care of, have fun but stop when its gone. I've adopted that approach and honestly don't have the same itch to run to a poker game every minute. BTW, I break even or leave up a great majority of the time I play.

???? U like the rush cuz you don't know the game. There's already gto for poker. In laymen terms, the gaurentee way to never lose in rock paper scissors is by doing it randomly. Similar tactics (a bit more complicated or I would say a lot more.to memorized) could.be applies to poker. Once you understand that , poker will no longer be fun because everything is already expected.

Do better game selection and find a fishier game. You're never gaining a meaningful edge on that game, unless it's live and you work very hard to develop your tell reading skills.

Appreciate all the advice. I'm actually primarily a No Limit Hold Em player and I crush those games. I have discplined bankroll managment and study GTO combined with exploitative strategies. I'm up a lot in that variant, but like someone said I guess its no longer fun since I know what the outcomes essentially are in most spots.

Its just this new Omaha variant thats taking over my mind. Thanks again to all with the great advice.

I would treat this like a crisis, and react accordingly before it consumes you. The amount of damage that gambling addiction can do to your life is essentially unbounded, and for what? Some quick thrills?

Yeah people might say the same about the hobby, but that one's trickier since you're fulfilling a natural need. There's no need to ever be gambling at all.
