Just a simple guy looking for a simple service. I’ve narrowed it down to these two for what seems like the best experience for a real massage in some nice clean facilities with a solid finish. Leaning towards west garden currently

I wrote about these in a review. Garden Retreat is the poor man's West Garden, but not by much. For $20 more /hr you get a LOT better service at WG, only downside is TS is done by a frumpy tiny mexican lady and is very clinical, whereas in GR the masseuse does the massage and if you're lucky she'll get teasy in there.

How has West Garden been doing amidst Covid-19? I hope a number of these spots are able to get back on their feet.

I had always wanted to go there, but things never lined up nicely. What is West Garden’s policy right now (masks, appointments)? Do you get to choose provider, or it’s generally an allocation.

I can see the comment above being accurate RE being a poor man’s garden retreat. Garden retreat was a basic spot, but scratched the itch. Table shower and facilities were clean, but i imagine not to the standard of WG. NY Health also was ok historically, but not that much chemistry with provider (similarly, the TS provider was older latina.. which i didn’t mind at the time being new to the US from abroad)

I’m aware i can research WG, but interested in others reminiscing if the feel compelled.

There is discussion elsewhere, but there seems to be a lack of renowned FBSM or basic service spots in NYC. Health Acu was ok, but lacked in some respects. Pro Spa i had heard has had some ups and downs. Anywhere else that people have felt is a consistently strong option?
