I've been working my way through a bottle of Hibiki Harmony Japanese Whiskey.

I promised myself that I wouldn't open anymore bottles until I finished what's already opened, so I'm working my way through my open bottles at a snail's pace. I have a hoarding problem when it comes to good whiskey and scotch.

I've also got some Belgian beers lying around that I should get to. I want to finish them off before it warms up and I start craving IPAs.
Wish I still had some Hibiki Harmony left. When COVID started I hit 3 Total Wines and More and stashed 15 bottles of Hibiki. It’s been out of stock and not even available right now. Cant wait till it hits the shelves again

Back in the day, Leffe Blonde was in constant rotation. One of the best beers on the planet as far as I'm concerned.
Love Leffe Blonde - perfectly spiced . Like the Brune also but prefer the blonde - contrary to women where I always prefer the brunette . I have been sucking down good red wine like candy lately . Hooked on some of the California Cabs , the Mendoza Malbecs and a few good Zins , all preferably with Italian food , or good bread with olive oil

I think our palettes are similar as I have a deep affinity for red wine and Italian food. In addition to what you’ve mentioned, I would add Portuguese wines from Dao to my list of favorite reds.

That is not a problem, that is a collection. I wish I started hoarding bottles when I first started, Good whiskey is going up at a 10 to 20% clip a year.

If you have a Costco with Alcohol near you, you have to try their alcohol. It is a rebranded name brand but and you get a 25% discount on the average cost.

That is the whiskey that gets me thru the week. Canadian, Irish, Scotch, bourbon, Japanese Cognac, Vodka, Gin. I drink it all and enjoy it all.

Bourbon is my ATF, I will drink almost anything you throw at me except Old Crow.

It's a quality whiskey for sure. I tend to mainly reach for peaty stuff, but even I can enjoy it... which says something.

I definitely have bottles that have (at least) doubled in price since I initially purchased them. I hunt down limited edition Ardbegs though, so those almost double in price the second you take them out of the store... assuming the store isn't gouging you already.

I primarily drink Islay scotch, so there are no good deals for me. A good deal is paying under $50 for a bottle of 10 year Ardbeg or Laphroaig.

I'm not huge into bourbon, but I try to have a bottle of Blantons and 4 Roses on me at all times. I like them and they go over well with guests who like bourbon. Ditto for the Irish whiskey, Rum and Tequila I have around. The other alcohol I have, I don't drink straight, so they're basically mixing tier. I'm sorry for any potential vodka lover that comes to my house, because they are not going to be happy with the selection. They'd be lucky if I had a bottle of Tito's.

When I was a kid , my Pop let me try a sip of his favorite.... dewars . I thought I drank gasoline . Low & behold , I learned that dewars was at the bottom of the spectrum & good Scotch awaited to be had .
