Your plain cell? Burner apps? What’s your go to? I feel like some blacklist for dumb reasons.

Personally when I first started was extremely nervous, still am cause I’d say I’m fairly new to the hobby but nothing impress I just use google Voice, granted think it can still trace back to me but never felt comfortable texting from my actual number

Check the forums. Plenty of threads about this topic. It's a mix bag depending on the person. You'll see a bunch say gvoice/apps to keep it simple and some will get a totally separate phone.

Yeah I did, just wondering if there was anything new since some services and apps change their policies and stuff. I used a burner and seems like it doesn’t work since no one seems to want to answer.

I used a burner app, my frien uses a fake number also. I think it's stupid to use your real number, even a couple porn stars I've met use a fake number.
