Why am I getting an inbox with 5 other members?

First, I am not going to the address bar and typing in that site. Please, to that member who inboxed me and 5 others, no need for that. It sounds like a hacker and sorry not falling for it. I see the useful info on this site anyway, please do not inbox me with others. Not necessary at all.

You should post and ask this at Boardwide General Topics section..

But yeah I get a similar inbox as well and it can't be replied.

They usually send this messages after you disagree or someone disagree with your opinions in the platform, it’s somehow a hack to get your IP address.

Who do I report it too?
On the lower left hand corner of the message box is a "report" button. Click on it, and then you can type the reason. I usually put spammer if it's a spammer. You don't need a long explanation, but it lets them know to nuke the profile if they get multiple reports...

Re-posting from the general section:

The site adjusted the spam filters (I don't know the technical details) and that prevented most of them for awhile. These new attacks by spambots were accounts that were created on the site more than a year or two ago, and had been laying dormant. Until a few days ago, when they rose like zombies and flooded the board with spam PMs.

We deleted most of them, but there might still be residual crap left...like @Ellocohombre said, please report them, especially if they do not have a line through their handles (which means they were already deleted). Thanks.
