York Nostalgia

I'm posting a pic of a place that is long forgotten. This place was known as Japan Spa and it was a FS Korean shop circa 2004-06. This was long before my time but I read about how great it was on ancient internet forums that are luckily still available to this day. The place is now run down and vacant, and is likely to be razed soon but I stopped by yesterday to take some pics before it's lost in the dustbin of history. I find it amazing that the old "JP Therapy" awning is still intact. I would love to see the inside but that seems to be locked and off limits. So anyway, enjoy the photo and if any of you older gents have stories about the place, please share!

Would love to hear more nostalgia about the York area! I remember 2 places that looked intriguing when I was too young to go in that closed long ago. One was the Swingers Boutique near the Codorus Creek on Philadelphia or Market St. The other was I think in the building where CK Spa first opened near where they are now. Curtains in the window with a big outdoor lighted sign with changeable letters. "The Adult Boutique Films Peeps and Novelties" Would love to hear stories from some of the senior members who were in these and other long gone places. Sensations II, upstairs at Hartmans Cafe and the Whirl-A-Sage in Lancaster too!

Sensations II in Lancaster was awesome! Lots of choices with plenty of service levels… my favorite was an athletic little blonde named Julie- she looked like she stepped out of the Ms. fitness competition.Whirl was good too but not as many service options

How about Tokyo Spa there along 30. There was a place on W Market that was up on the 2nd floor, don't recall that name. you actually entered a business of the 1st floor and right inside, there was a stairwell that you took to the upstairs. Many a good visits way back then. I recall a handful of others but all there names escape me now. No longer visiting places since retiring several yrs ago. Was in a mgmt position that allowed me to get out of the office pretty much whenever I wanted back in those days. I'
d go have fun on the employers time.
