Just scrolling through this document and it's hitting pretty close to home. Not only do they mention girls' names that many of us are familiar with, but agents are doing surveillance of these places...meaning if they ever decide to come after NY places, we're probably being observed by these guys. They seem to have interviewed quite a few "customers" which begs the question of how they got to interview them. Maybe I missed it, but I'm guessing they probably arrested them and put them through an ordeal to get them to talk.
Why would the feds commit a multi year investigation into what appears to be a low priority consensual prostitution ring?

I’ve met several mongers who are LE and this is what they told me.
1. They know everything that is going on at every amp. I was amazed at how much they knew.
2. Many girls give info to LE too. Especially ones who burned a bridge with a certain amp. And many LE are dating these girls so they share info with each other.

Great insight...stuff I suspected but hard to confirm without knowing people directly involved. I wonder if LE get an edge in dating these girls because of their position.
I've had a nagging suspicion for many years about a great Korean Americn girlfriend I was dating seriously, whose Korean American best friend (who I also tried to hit on when she was single) was married to a white guy who was a senior govt legal guy I'd met a few times through my gf. I suspect my gf asked this guy to do a background check on me and my number showed up on a kmp client list and she suddenly dumped me and never explained why (this was before burner apps/phones were easily available). I could tell the last time I met the guy that something was off and that was shortly before I got dumped. If true, at least it was shameful enough for the girl that it never got spread around my wider social circle.

I'm not sure he did it out of jealousy or malice...we got along pretty well and he seemed like a decent guy. I think my gf asked him to check since she was probably debating getting serious with me and he was just put in an awkward position. he can't not tell her if my number is on a monger database since his wife is best friends with the girl. It's just one of those unfortunate things that happens and I was on the wrong end of it.
