I've only read through about half of this but the subject is pretty ridiculous. There is no world where guys should be arguing for BBFS. I have NEVER done it with a sex worker...period, after years of pounding women. Lmao, damn. You went in. BBFS is not my thing at all, but I understand and respect others going about their business as they see fit. However, I think it's odd hearing how casual some people seem about the risks. They're legitimate IMO. The dudes who say "It is what it is, I know it's a dangerous game" are different from the "I don't get why you all are acting so scared, it's not THAT risky" kinda guys. Yeah, guys can do whatever they want...I'm going to keep it real and do what's best for me. I've never done BBFS but are there providers I've seen throughout the years that have...sure, I definitely believe so. this is 100% true about younger women, and its very prevalent in SE Asia. Its a different model there. girls get tested extremely regularly and will show their test results if you ask in many cases. They use prep, and if they do test positive they just get treated and life goes on.

i'm not advocating it, just saying that sometimes in Thailand the girl is on you before you know it. And it isnt as frequent or as fatal as you guys keep representing. Conservatively, i've done bbfs with 100 different girls in Thailand and guess how many infections I got? But like I said - i am not advocating it.

We all take risks, myself included, but there are some things you can do to reduce the risks.

1. DoxyPEP has been shown to reduce the likelihood of catching chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis if taken after having unprotected sex. As of just last year, you can now get prescriptions for shipped to you from telemed online pharmacies. Unfortunately it doesn't work for women, so we have to be the ones to take it.

2. While HIV is significantly rarer, PrEP can reduce your already low likelihood of getting HIV by another 99%. Unlike antibiotics that can upset the stomach, PrEP generally has no side effects for most people. This one does work for women so it's possible some providers may be on it.

Obviously neither of these is anywhere near as good as wrapping it up, which itself is not nearly as good as abstaining entirely. But we wouldn't be here if that were a realistic option . . .
