anyways, how about you other mongers? what else do you guys have going in your life? i'm assuming most of you are married and monger because of the variety and need? i'm single myself, and i just work, do my hobbies, etc. hobbying is also part of my other hobbies.
Mid 30's single here. Redpilled early, tried a few LTRs, didn't pan out. Failed compliance tests and family dynamics hinted of future and hidden dysfunction. AWALT realities, it's okay, moved on.
Hmm...I once read on reddit, you need 3 hobbies. One to make $ with, one to be creative with and one to stay healthy with. Soo.. I went HAM on that:
Income — Got my job in tech, another job for a backup and mo' capital. A small business on the weekends for hospitality + food/bev. A busy options portfolio of theta decay to manage based on earnings, geopolitics and sector rotation that I monitor. Passive investments with mixed use real estate dev in DFW. Pre-IPO stock picking and long stock positions in industrial staples and commodities. Use to play poker regularly in frequent trips to Vegas to rob drunk tourists in a rush, that kinda died out. Would like to get back into that at some point.
Fun/Creativity — Lots of writing, working on a memoir. Have enough material for two books. Sketched out the 2nd but pounding to finish the 1st tome first. I do some music production on the side — working a deep house album, sorta like FKJ meets Nujabes. Learning to work on video editing and After Effects for fun. I read a lot, burning through the Dune saga yet again at the moment. I'm working on learning Korean (for obvious reasons), I speak intermediate Chinese, intermediate read/write German, speak crude Japanese. After more time in Asian languages, want to pick up Dutch since it's the drunken bastard of German + English and would love to visit Amsterdam this year.
Getting a dog, pup will be ready to pick up in 4 weeks.
Health —Daily intermittent fasting on a 22-24+ fasting window. Brazilian jiu jitsu almost every weekday. Lift and run every other day. Firearms runnin' & gunning + I teach shotgun instruction. I cook a lot and bake. Vitamin D in the pool/hot tub every day almost. Smoke some indica before sleep or hit edibles.
